v15 v17 1 I see this engine based on LP MUD. I haven't got a good idea of the scale of the work since I'm a newbie. But I think we could get a skeleton set of libraries completed. There is educational and marketing value to this project. When kids 2 encounter MUD type games, most of the time they want to start contributing code. 3 In this case, they will have haskell as the implementation language. Very often this 4 will be the first language many of them will have ever encountered. 1 Allegro <http://alleg.sf.net> is a very capable C-library for games development. It does everything from packed files to sound to graphics. The way the library is set up makes it a good target for a haskell binding. 5 2 6 == Interested Mentors == 7 * Johan Henriksson (Mahogny) <[mailto:email@example.com]> 8 9 == Interested Students == 10 * Michael Litchard (int80_h) <[mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org]> 11 * Matthew Kelly <[mailto:email@example.com]> 12 * Christian Muise (haz) <[mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org]> 13 * Morgan McEvoy (kamikasei) <[mailto:email@example.com]> 3 OpenGL can interact with Allegro through allegroGL. this could be added as well if time allows.
