Description

A bug was reported on the haskell-platform trac about this: when Xcode is not installed, the OSX installer shows a blank screen with a greyed-out "Install" button. An informative message should be displayed instead.

This was fixed in 353c15e16dbb98e5efcdb10558837c4303df9344 (2011).

Os X: With Xcode 4, check for gcc-4.2 also in the setup for binary distributions
