#1893 closed bug (fixed)

ghc should say when it is failing due to -Werror

Reported by: igloo Owned by: igloo
Priority: normal Milestone: 6.8 branch

Description

If we fail due to warnings and -Werror, we should tell the user that we are doing so. Currently it can be very confusing if -Werror is given in a Cabal file or an OPTIONS pragma. Compilation fails but with no error printed.
