Error with dash character
When I copy the formula from the webpage http://www.experiglot.com/2006/06/07/how-to-convert-from-an-annual-rate-to-an-effective-periodic-rate-javascript-calculator/ as this formula:
yearlyToMonthly rate nbPeriods = (1 + rate)(1 / nbPeriods) – 1
I get the following error message in ghci which is due the the minus character not being encoded as an hyphen but as an en dash:
main.hs:3:60: Not in scope: `*** Exception: <stderr>: commitBuffer: invalid argu ment (invalid character)
Would it be possible to have a more informative error message ? My system is win 7 64 bits, and the locale is fr;French (France).
