|#13||None||ghc 5.02 trats import hiding wrong||nobody||norpan|
When a module is imported hiding a few symbols, they are not accessible even by qualifying the name. This worked in ghc 5.00.2, but does not work in 5.02. Also, the Haskell 98 report (section 5.3) says:"The hiding clause only applies to unqualified names." This, is clearly a bug. This is also reported on the mailing list: http://www.haskell.org/pipermail/glasgow-haskell-bugs/2001-September/000763.html I think this is a very serious bug, it causes my program to not compile and it's not easy to fix it other than importing one of the modules with the clashing symbol as "qualified", which is not that nice.
|#14||Fixed||Case missing in garbage collector||simonmar||josefs|
I'm on a sparc running solaris 2.7. The problem shows up for a recent ghc built from cvs. When I compile some files I get the following error message: ghc-5.03: fatal error: evacuate: THUNK_SELECTOR: strange selectee 10 The error goes away if I remove the -O flag. This is especially annoying when bootstrapping the compiler. Sample module for which this problem arises are: PrelWord PrelCTypes PrelCString PrelCError PrelHandle
|#15||Fixed||Minor Posix.getEffectiveUserID doc-bug||nobody||volkersf|
"<ProgramListing> getEffectiveUserID :: IO UserID </ProgramListing> </Para> <Para> <Function>getRealUserID</Function> ..." should read "...<Function>getEffectiveUserID</Function>...".
